Iseo is a town and municipality in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy, situated on the south shore of Lake Iseo which is attractive to hundreds of thousands of tourists who are fascinated by the natural heritage and mountains that surround the city. The largest lake island in Europe, Monte Isola is also located here, raising in the heart of the Lake Iseo. The small town of 9.200 inhabitants has developed round an old medieval village. The city is also part of the famous wine area of Franciacorta. Since 2012, the Municipality of Iseo is participating in successful activities at a European level, both relating seniors and young, with the aim to share experiences and best practices among partner towns.
